I experience heavy menstrual bleeding at night and pads aren't enough to stop from destroying the sheets and my underwear. Would your products help with this problem? Or is the absorbency area the same as on a normal overnight pad? Thanks!

This has been a problem all my life, and it's becoming worse/more annoying. The issue seems to be mostly the back of the pad. I buy the longest overnight pads I can find, but it doesn't stop the bleeding from going out the back. Sometimes it soaks through the pad and the absorbency is compromised, other times it seems the pad has very little, but there's still a mess. I was wondering if the briefs would offer better protection.

Our expert answered:

I’m so sorry to hear about your problem. You could definitely try the Depend Underwear which have a much heavier capacity than the other female incontinence products.

However, I would recommend that you take a look at the Poise website www.poise.com.au. Poise has a range of pads which are longer and significantly more absorbent that sanitary pads which may assist you. You can also redeem a free sample from the website.

It is also important that your heavy bleeding is checked out with your local doctor. There may be other options that you may be able to explore with him/her to help with your problem.
