Incontinence after prostate surgery
I had just retired and I was looking forward to enjoying myself when I found out I had prostate cancer. I got through the surgery OK and then the radiotherapy treatment. But then I found it hard living with the ongoing side effect after treatment. I was leaking all the time. I thought I would need to wear an adult nappy forever. My doctor referred me to a Physio and it was the best advice. She showed me a few exercised to strengthen the muscles that were damaged during treatment. I am happy to say that my leaking problem has been fixed. I just have to remember to go to the loo regularly. All I can say is do your exercises – it works.
